Amy, Rick and the kids visit 2009

This is AMY,and I love her!!! For those of you who have followed for quite some time I am sure you remember her. For those of you who are fairly new to our family Amy is a BEST FRIEND to me and my sister Kerry. Amy is always the same, she always has your best interest at heart, she is oh so true to friendship, she loves real hard, and again she never wavers in love or friendship... she is always the same , constant, faithful FRIEND that she was the first time we met, and for her I am so thankful to God. Her and Rick and the 3 kids, Garett, Kyndall and Zane had to move away a while back for his job and once a year we get to be together and we all three , well all of our family look forward to this each year. We catch up and oh and ah over how our kids have changed. Although we text or talk to each other weekly , it is just not the same as really being together. I can't wait for the day when they move back home. I can't wait for the day when Franceska is home because that will also mean that Amy will be here. 2 days late...Happy 43rd LIDversary to US!!

Saturday was our 43rd LIDversary and there is so much going on here that I forgot to "commemorate" the day!!!! How many more you ask????? Hopefully not that many..

Veterans Day and more.....

On Veterans day my hubby Frank was on "Flag Crack", because he came home with so many United States flag socks and this GIANT flag that we hung on the back of the house, it was huge!!!! But we are all so proud of our country and its veterans past, present and future!!!! We have alot of veterans in our family, my daddy, grandfather, we both have uncles ,so many friends, my Frank and our Steven. We are still humbled and will forever be that way for the fact that God kept Steven safe during his two tours in Iraq. We had a little impromptu bar-b-q with cake. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

I have been laughing at Frank because I swear he is "Nesting" too!! In the last three weeks, he has bought me a new gas firepit for the backyard, we recently purchased brand spanking new leather furniture for the living room...his idea, on monday we are having wood floors installed in our living room and hallway...his idea. I wont show you a pic of the new furniture until the floors are done, I also got another one of those Tiffany blue boxes the other day , it was a new pair of earrings, I got a new cherry wood jewelry box that stands about 3 1/2 feet tall that I think is just beautiful, Astrud has gotten all kind of new clothes and shoes and the other dayyyyyy......he surprised me and brought my dream dining room table and hutch!!!!! I am getting 4 more chairs so all of us will be able to sit at the table without bringing computer chairs in and I think the Hutch is absolutely beautiful!!! These pictures don't do any of it justice. It is the old farmhouse style and I just love it!!! I know alot of people tell me that Astrud and I are spoiled, well just so you know, he is also spoiled but his love is above all, he is an incredible man, husband and father and I thank God for him every single day of my life.

WARNING: BAD ATTITUDE.......

I have a "Bad Attitude" today or heck I have had one this whole past week!!!! This "waiting" game is just getting the best of me!!! I know that at the end of this journey we are going to have our precious daughter, but everyday there is something different, this is delaying that and that is delaying this and you know what??? I am just crabby right now!!!! You see that dog down there???? That is how I know I look 24/7....that look is probably why I have this giant crater like, Grand Canyon size wrinkle right in the middle of my forehead between my eyebrows!!! There is not enough Botox in the universe to fix that Monster!!!!

ALL ABOUT JADE.........

This post is all about my neice Jade Alexandria. She is my first. I remember exactly the day that my sister Kerry told me she was pregnant, I can tell you exactly what happened every second of the day she was born. She is 13 yrs old now and and she is turning into a beautiful young woman. I am doing this post about her because I know that sometimes she feels as though I dont love her like I do Lily and Rayn. Jade has always been a big mommas girl and when Lily came she was just so attached to me and then Rayn was born and although Rayn is a mommas girl too, she is a Meme's girl also. And speaking of Meme, it is Jade that named me that. We always referred to me as Aunt Kristy and one day it just came out and so Meme I am. Jade also took her first steps to me, and I will cherish that forever.

In all honesty we are a very LOUD family, BUT Jade is the loudest!!! Even though she drives us crazy with her pessimistic attitude that she gets honestly from her Daddy, and her smart mouth some of the time, she is one of the funniest people I have ever known. She is THE QUEEN OF SARACASM!!!!

I love watching her with my Momma, she loves her Nonny and has a special way with her. Jade has a way of hiding her feelings with laughter, it's her way of protecting her heart. She does not know it but I see this all of the time. And the way she gets thru Nonnys disease is to just laugh and make jokes. The beautiful thing about that is she has a way of bringing out my Moms "real" smile, and I love that!!!

Before Alzheimers my Mom was a "colorful" character to say the least. She was awesome and funny as heck!!! She could cus like a sailor and tell a joke like nobody else, so when Jade is being loud and obnoxious it just cracks me up at some of the things that come out of my Moms mouth to Jade!!! The way Jade just shrugs it off and cracks up just kills me!!!! I cant wait to see her with Franceska, I know she is going to be the best "Big Cousin" ever. So today I honor my very first beautiful neice Jade Alexandria.....I love you more than you will ever know and I am so proud of everything that you do and who you are and look forward to watching who you will become.

Halloween 2009

I hope your Halloween was alot of fun. We had a Trunk or Treat at our church and Astrud, Emily and Jena dressed up as "80's" girls???? I was there and I did not dress like that but you know teenagers always know more than their "dumb" parents!!!! lol
All of you probably get tired of pictures of these girls , but we love them so much and they are such a huge part of our lives that this blog would not be complete without Jena and Emily so here they all are again. THURSDAY THINGS.....

Anyone that knows me knows that one of my favorite things to do is being out in my yard working. I love yardwork, gardening, planning, and landscaping. I find great joy and peace when I am playing in the dirt and it is where I do some of my best praying. So I thought I would share parts of our yard with all of you. "Siblings"....Christopher and Astrud, I love the love they have for each other! The best moments of my life are when my kids are loving each other and laughing, it makes my heart smile BIG!!! How Great is our GOD!!!

Years and years ago my sister , Astruds, Aunt Kim gave this Ty stuffed animal named Sherbet,and she has slept with it ever since. Everyone friends and family alike know who "Sherbet" is . WELL....the other day I saw our little Gretchyn run out of the bedroom and when I looked this is what I saw....Astrud stuck Sherbet in Gretchyn's collar....and um....she hated it!!!

Rayn fell asleep in the recliner late friday night and Astrud walked over and just picked her up to hold her while she was sleeping....sooooo sweet, I just cant wait to see her with HER little sister!

Saturday morning Astrud and I were having our morning coffee and just enjoying the beautiful weather and when we looked out the back door this is what we saw....God is so good.

I know this was a long post but we are so blessed and I just want to share it all with you!

42 MONTHS DONE!! HOW MANY MORE??????

Not much to say.....

Those of you who know me are probably laughing right now reading that title......I am rarely ever at a point when I have very little say but there is alot of soccer, hockey, football and volleyball going on right now that we have been so busy that I have not had a whole lot of time to blog, but this too shall pass. I am also just a little worn down by this "WAIT", and I would imagine that is the biggest reason for my silence right now...the closer you get the harder the wait gets !!

Astrud, Jena and Emily served at a wedding of some friends of ours this weekend , so that was a reason for a shopping trip!!! They were asked to wear black and white so I thought that I would post a few pictures of them. They are all 3 such pretty girls if I don't say so myself. Enjoy the pics and have a very BLESSED week.

Something Random.....

The other night as my husband is sitting watching the game on T.V., I was cleaning up a little in the house and to be quite honest , I had just HAD IT with my vacuum, so I picked it up walked thru the living room , opened the door to the garage and threw the entire vacuum out the back door!!! And oh boy did it feel good, call it build up with this WAIT, call it what you may but even though that vacuums days had been numbered for quite some time, it felt so good to just end it's LIFE!!! I then walked right back thru the living room not saying a word and went straight back into the bedroom to finish cleaning. So I know you must be thinking the same thing my husband was.....he never said anything, but I know he was thinking OK ....she has completely lost her mind now!!! So last night we were headed out the door for "Field of Faith" and when I opened that same door , there it stood, it was a beautiful sight for sore eyes, it is the new love of my life, it was standing there in all its glory... THE DYSON DC14 TELESCOPE!!!! My wonderful husband went to my favorite story Home Depot and bought this for me, and I love it!!! Don't sit still at my house because you might get vacuumed!!! Now between you and me, I think he probably did it for his and Astrud's sanity, but that works for me!!! My neice Lily asked me this morning, "Meme did you sleep with you new vacuum"? Well....if it would have fit in bed, I would have!!!


It was my best friend Jessica's birthday too!!! Happy Birthday , you are beautiful and I am forever grateful for God putting you in my life. I love you.

Still not all the way thru March 2006.....

The cutoff date today was March 28, 2006. So we are not yet done with March, BUT we are almost there. So I can look at it two ways: 1. I can be all bummed and sad and let this ruin my day or week. OR 2. I can look at it as 4 more days closer to our girl!!! I think I choose #2!!

Then Kelli a fellow waiting Mom reminded me of this song by Kutless ,"What Faith can do".

Fingers crossed and many many PRAYERS....

I made the decision over a year ago that I was going to take the bedding off of Franceskas crib, put it in a bag and not bring it out again until the CC** is in April 2006. So my fingers are crossed very tightly and my prayers are many. My prayers are that when they get back from this holiday they will finish March 2006. And then I will get Franceskas room all set up again and I will post pictures. I think it is really pretty and I want to share it with all of you again. So please pray that the CC**, puts smiles on our faces soon......

PRAYER REQUEST....

My friends Jacy and Jenette's 18 yr old cousin BROOKE has been diagnosed with uterine/ovarian cancer. Her tumor is the size of a 5 month fetus. She just graduated from high school, she is a girl of tremendous faith and is probably braver than anyone in her family right now, please pray for her, her family and her team of physicians. Thank you all so much and God bless each of you.
